The challenge

Our client was the Australian operations of the financial services arm of a global luxury auto brand. Management recognized it needed to change some existing processes and was also keen to leverage technological innovations to meet its growing business needs.

 

How we helped?

Working with the in-house team, IPFinancials managed the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and offshore vendor relationship for critical IT based projects that increased their capability across the core platforms across the Finance Contract and Operational Management systems. We were responsible for the:

  • Project Initiation & Planning - developed business cases, project plans and identified key deliverables
  • Execution - undertook a comprehensive current state analysis of business processes, requirement gathering and analysis, challenged the proposed solutions and obtained stakeholder sign-off on the agreed solutions. Also coordinated the test cycles, monitored the defect resolution and Go-Live implementation
  • Control & Monitoring – monitored the ongoing progress of deliverables, prepared weekly reports to stakeholders and led the monthly Steering Committee meetings
  • Change Management - initiated stakeholder awareness campaign, wrote manuals for operational and Help Desk teams, and led the knowledge transfer process for migration to the new system. 


Value delivered
The successful deployment of these IT project meant our client was able to: 

  • launch a new finance product to support the growth of servicing packs of motor vehicles;
  • automate the operational processes for relating to the financing of Insurance Premium; and
  • modify the system to meet a new legislative requirement for Hire Purchase contracts
